Louise’s teaching philosophy is deeply rooted in maintaining vocal health and building a strong voice. While Louise has spent her life mastering artistic expression as a jazz vocalist (and continues to do so!), she is a trained classical singer and relies on this training to keep her voice flexible and vibrant. This training plays a significant role in her teaching.

 

Every student is different. While acknowledging and supporting your personal strengths and interests as a vocalist, Louise will challenge you musically, customizing your lessons to help you achieve your individual goals.

 

Her training includes improvisation and theory with legendary saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi, voice with Kim Nazarian of New York Voices, and countless vocal masterclasses. Louise thoughtfully shares this knowledge with her students, encouraging every student to keep learning, keep singing, and be true to their musical self.
